The International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) is a membership association of cities, towns, counties, metropolitan governments and local government associations with the mission to enhance global sustainability and environmental conditions through cumulative local action. ICLEI develops programs to support local-level sustainability and seeks to build an international policy environment that strengthens local government.
