The Middle East Forum (MEF) is an independent, nonprofit organization working to define and promote American interests in the Middle East. The Forum aims to weaken the forces of religious radicals, achieve Palestinian acceptance of Israel, develop strategies to contain Iran, and deal with what it perceives as advancing anarchy in the region. It pursues its objectives through research and policy recommendations as well as various projects and philanthropic activities.
