Global Exchange is a nonprofit international human rights organization dedicated to promoting political, social and environmental justice. It aims to increase global awareness among the US public and tries to encourage both the US governmental and private institutions to support policies that promote democratic and sustainable development. It operates through programs engaging grassroots and indigenous communities, elected officials, international institutions, and community leaders.
