Practical Acton is an international non-governmental organization advocating the sustainable use of technology to reduce poverty in developing countries. The organization works with poor communities to help them choose and use technology to improve their lives for today and generations to come. Areas of work include energy access, food and agriculture, urban waste and water, and disaster risk reduction.
