The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) 1) promotes economic and social development, 2) fosters regional integration and 3) supports international cooperation for Africa's development. It operates at the regional and sub-regional levels to harness resources and brings them to bear on Africa's priorities, including macroeconomic policy, regional integration and trade, and social development.
