The Institute of International Economic and Political Studies (IIEPS RAS) is a leading academic center for studies of political, external economic and foreign political problems of socialist countries. It researches matters in the areas of societal transformation in Central and East European countries and the former Soviet Union states, and the implications of processes of change on the system of international relations.
