The Timor-Leste Commission for Reception, Truth and Reconciliation (CAVR) was set up in 2001 with the mandate to undertake truth seeking for the period 1974-1999, facilitate community reconciliation for less serious crimes, report its work and findings and make recommendations. Following the completion and presentation of its report in 2005 the Commission was dissolved.

The website remains in place with links to analyses and information concerning CAVR and its mandate.
