The Institute for Applied Economic Research is an independent research institute at the University of Tübingen. IAW's mission is to apply economic and social science research to issues related to private and public economy. IAW also undertakes basic scientific work which provides the foundations for economic policymaking and focuses on problems and methods of empirical economic research.
