Organizations and Resources Network
The Humura Association is a Canada-based organization created by survivors of the 1994 Rwanda genocide. Its primary aims are to 1) keep alive and honor the memory of the victims of the genocide, particularly by denouncing and bringing to justice any of its perpetrators hiding in Canada; 2) raise awareness among the Canadian public about the horrors of genocide; 3) remain vigilant in a world where ideologies of hatred are proliferating; and 4) assist genocide survivors, particularly widows and orphans, who live with physical and psychological trauma in Canada and in Rwanda.
