The Friends Peace Center works to promote and build a culture of peace and active non-violence in Costa Rica, primarily by upholding social justice and human rights. More specifically, the Center strives to 1) spread greater awareness of conflict resolution practices and methods; 2) investigate, publicize and help eliminate the economic, political, social and cultural causes of war and violence; and 3) promote the abolition of violent forms of coercion to resolve conflicts.
