The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) promotes international cooperation on 1) the peaceful use and exploration of space, and 2) in the utilization of space science and technology for sustainable economic and social development. The Office further assists any UN member state that wishes to establish legal and regulatory frameworks that will help integrate space-related capabilities with national development programs.
