The Igarapé Institute is an independent, non-profit think tank based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil devoted to integrating security, justice and development agendas. The institute’s goal is to propose solutions to complex social challenges through research, new technologies, influence in public policies and more. Its work also covers five main themes, which include 1) national and global drug policies; 2) citizen security; 2) peacebuilding; 4) safer cities; and 5) cybersecurity.
