This paper examines the argument that, as relations between China and South Korea increase, the US-South Korean alliance might eventually be undermined. This would, experts argue, compel South Korea to choose between the US and China as its long-term strategic partner. The author discusses whether it is possible that increased cooperation between China and South Korea is conducive to strategic collaboration that will overshadow the country's relationship with the US.
