This publication is a transcript of a speech made by Dr Robert Lambert MBE, Former Head of the Metropolitan Police Muslim Contact Unit, on 21 September 2011 at Chatham House. The speaker discusses counter-terrorism strategies in London, and compared them against those adopted in Europe and North America. He argued that the successful partnerships established between police and Muslim communities in London since 9/11 provide a template for future international counter-terrorism strategies.
