This paper looks at what observers, mainly in the US, consider about the potential impact the crisis crated by the coronavirus could mean for US-China ties. The author highlights that with the shift of Washington’s policy towards Beijing to one of containment under President Trump, some commentators fear the coronavirus will accelerate the separation between the two powers and even increase the risk of war.
