With an economy beset by sanctions, concerns about domestic unrest and turmoil in Syria threatening to undermine the regional status quo, the prospects for the increasingly divided Iranian regime are unclear. As tensions escalate over the perceived threat of Iran's nuclear development program, and uncertainty over Tehran's intentions and capabilities grows, the speakers at this Chatham House event evaluated the country’s domestic politics, the state of the economy and Tehran's foreign policy.
