The author of this analysis contends that cooperation between public and private actors has become an important instrument of domestic security policy. Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) take on essential tasks in protecting critical infrastructures, in cybersecurity, and in ensuring security of supply. However, difficulties in implementing such partnerships in the areas of coordination, expectation management, transparency, and ensuring coherence should not be underestimated.
