The report assesses the capabilities of US National Guard response teams to deal with potential chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosive incidents. The National Guard teams face personnel, training, and equipment challenges that adversely affect their preparedness to act effectively. In order to counter these deficiencies, the US Government Accountability Office make policy recommendations.
