This is a transcript of a discussion on the role of the US as "indispensable global power" in the international system. Despite the argument of the irreversible erosion of the US economical and political strength into academics, commentators and journalists debates, the speaker highlights the fundamental reasons why America is still at the highest level of the hierarchy of international power system: (1) the strength of the US economy, (2)its military prowess and (3) the power and scope of its international partnership as source of international influence all over the world.
