This paper explores the impact of virtual weaponry on the traditional dynamics of geopolitics. The argumentation is focused on the analysis of the emergence of a new form of global reality which is characterized by three significant shifts: (1) state to individuals; (2) real-world to virtual mobilization and power, from hard power to virtual power; (3) old media to new media. The author highlights the role of the state as alternatively censoring or deploying web platforms to achieve its goals and assert its influence.
