This news article discusses the implications of United States' support for the decision made by the Azeri authorities to annul the results of additional constituencies that had been affected by electoral fraud in the 2005 parliamentary elections. The author notes that the Council of Europe (CoE) rebuked Washington for its support of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev’s regime despite serious allegations of fraud in recent parliamentary elections.
