This brief argues that the global fight against infectious diseases is threatened by allegations that US security agencies use vaccination programs for intelligence operations. The author argues that Executive Orders should explicitly prohibit the involvement of the intelligence community in global public health campaigns. This, it is argued, would build confidence in vaccination campaigns, benefitting both global health and US national security.
