This is a transcript of a discussion on aid with John Holmes, Director of The Ditchley Foundation and former UN Emergency Relief Coordinator. Holmes talks about his experience as an emergency relief coordinator and outlines the four basic principles behind the successful delivery of humanitarian aid. He argues that governments on the receiving end of aid as well as donor governments do not always understand or want to understand these principles.
