This is a transcript of a speech made by Philip Seib, director of the Center on Public Diplomacy at the University of Southern California in which he discusses how diplomacy is adapting to the era of social media, when news and events are disseminated faster than ever before. He explores both the pressures on diplomats and the opportunites for new ways of communication afforded by social media.
