Some think that the Pakistani jihadist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) just might be the next al-Qaida. In exploring this possibility, this analysis addresses LeT's organizational evolution, its institutional contacts with Pakistani state agencies, its turn towards extra-regional jihadist operations, and the threat it poses to the West.
