This paper reports on the findings from a conference on US-Chinese strategic nuclear relations and space security. In the conference dialogue, the US participants stressed that the two countries should stay focused on common interests and explore common challenges at the conceptual level. A core group of Chinese participants had a clear sense of progress and cautious optimism with regard to the discussions, but there was also some disappointment expressed at the state of strategic relations.
