This paper looks at the different ways Australian power is being projected across the Southern Hemisphere, particularly in relation to links with Africa and South America. It suggests that Australia needs to start viewing the Southern Hemisphere less as a peripheral region and more as a key arena for its engagement with the world, particularly in terms of its projection of soft power.
