This analysis discusses China’s growing nuclear capabilities and its consequences for the Asia-Pacific region. Once consequence, at least thus far, is a measured form of arms racing. India has responded to Chinese actions by continuing to modernize its nuclear capabilities, while Pakistan is also building up its nuclear arsenal. And what can we conclude might be the probable result of all this? Yes, greater regional instability.
