This paper examines whether resilience training programs are necessary, identifies four main factors that explain the use and relevance of resilience training, as well as the actors and organizations offering resilience training modules. The author argues that the development of resilience training and education is a favorable development because teaching can bridge the theoretical and conceptual discussions between academics and practitioners. She concludes by providing some ideas that may support the development and institutionalization of training programs in Switzerland.
