This brief discusses the spillover of the Syrian conflict into Lebanon and how this has affected the politics of the latter. The author argues that the ensuing political deadlock in Lebanon has postponed elections indefinitely and undercuts any possibility of socioeconomic reform in the country. This, she contends, could threaten longer-term stability.
