While tackling this particular issue, the analysis also focuses on key aspects of German foreign policy, including 1) its relations with France, Russia, and Middle Eastern states, 2) bilateral relations between Berlin and Washington, 3) German defense spending, and 4) the country's place in institutions such as the UN, EU and NATO.
