This is a transcript of three speeches about foreign fighters in Syria. They discuss 1) the reasons why foreign fighters are operating in Syria, 2) the near-term security threats they pose to the wider Middle East, 3) the longer-term threats they present to their home countries (assuming they return to them), and 4) and what can be done to counter the spread of Islamic radicalism, particularly on the home front. The speeches are by the Soufan Group's Richard Barrett; King's College London's Shiraz Maher; and RUSI's Raffaello Pantucci.
