This paper provides an overview of the terrorist group Boko Haram, including its historical background, doctrine, links to other terrorist groups and organizational framework. The paper also analyzes some of the more recent activities of Boko Haram, both in Nigeria and neighboring countries, and contemplates the possibility of the group spreading its operations into Western Europe.
