By drawing on the results of a 2013 study that focused on six northern Nigerian states, this report 1) analyzes the conditions that make it possible for Boko Haram to recruit and radicalize young men within the country, and 2) what the Nigerian government and other interested parties can do to prevent this phenomenon from happening.
