This paper discusses the likely regulatory impact of the proposed EU-US Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) in three key policy areas: investor protection, public services and food safety. The author explains that instead of leading to complete deregulation, the provisions being considered as part of TTIP will offer some protection in public service areas, such as healthcare and education as well as food safety.
