This working paper analyzes the efforts taken by the international community to promote the integration of the Albanian minority into the political system of Macedonia. The author first outlines the sensitive relationship between Slav Macedonians and Albanians in the country and then looks at the anti-discriminatory policies of power-sharing established under the August 2001 Ohrid Framework Agreement with the support of international agencies.
