This report reviews the IAEA's dual role of 1) facilitating the peaceful, development-centered use of nuclear technologies, and 2) preventing their use in weapons programs. More specifically, the report examines 1) today's nuclear proliferation challenges, as faced by the IAEA; 2) the agency's technical cooperation projects with developing countries; and 3) two case studies (Kenya, and Trinidad and Tobago) that illustrate how the IAEA interacts with its member states.
