This issue of the CAD features articles on 1) the social context of history in Georgia and how certain meanings attached to particular sites in the town of Telavi were transformed under the governance of the United National Movement (UNM) between 2007 and 2012; 2) the social role played by photographs in Batumi, Georgia, particularly given the rapid development experienced in the city; and 3) the history of the Alley of Martyrs in Baku, Azerbaijan.
