This analysis examines the types of media and communication formats used by countries to increase public risk awareness. The authors also discuss the key components that could be included in any strategy that aims to communicate information on risk to specific groups in society as well as the potential communication methods that could be used in such strategies. Finally, they provide recommendations for countries on how to choose the right forms of media and communication strategies to be able to effectively communicate information to specific audiences.
