In this transcript, Chatham House’s Bobo Lo explores the problematic interaction between Russia’s foreign policy and the increasingly complex challenges of global governance. Basically, the tension stems from the Kremlin’s self-interested vision of a global system where it plays – by right – a leading role and a rapidly transitioning world that puts a premium on adaptation rather than self-proclaimed privilege. In keeping with this theme, Lo also discusses the practical implications of Moscow’s dubious vision on its relations with the post-Soviet neighborhood, Asia and the West.
