This paper analyzes China's role in the transnational narcotics industry. The study focuses on the country's role as a producer, consumer and transit state, and considers the impact of neighbors such as North Korea, Afghanistan and the Central Asian countries. It then looks at China's drug control strategy and international cooperation against the drug trade.
