This report presents the results of various projects that have implemented approaches to managing Africa's conflicts. It examines diplomatic initiatives; NGO preventive action; democratic reform and the reform of African military forces; training for peacemaking and the application of traditional methods of conflict solving; humanitarian aid; and the support of a culture of peace. The report also discusses the potential application of these measures to other conflicts in the world.
