This report examines the 2003 Rose Revolution in Georgia. It analyzes the specifics of the political and social landscape in the country before the revolution, the dynamics of the protests sparked by rigged elections, and the actors who contributed to laying the groundwork for change and supporting the revolution itself. The author recommends some changes in the general approach toward democratization.
