This report analyzes peace initiatives in Colombia. The findings build upon a conference on the same subject in November 2005. The author examines the state of the conflict and the prospects for peace, the role of the civil society in the peace process and the different types of peace initiatives, from local to international ones. She draws some lessons from Colombia to other conflicts and suggests possible ways forward.
