This report provides an examination of the conflict in Sudan and makes updated suggestions for achieving peace. The author presents recommendations for strengthening the negotiating process and to help refine some of the issues surrounding the principle of self-determination in Southern Sudan. The report states that the best chances for achieving meaningful change and real conflict resolution in Sudan may only come if the central government in Khartoum becomes more democratic.
