This paper examines aviation security and its regulation within the EU. The authors describe how the EU has reacted to challenges in aviation safety and examine which new legal provisions can be predicted for the near future. They characterize the most important aspects of the regulations and present their proposals regarding areas where they think additional legislation would be favorable.
