This paper highlights growing concerns in developed nations that pro-globalization policies may have substantial downsides. The author argues these concerns are primarily a result of economic power shifting toward China and India. The paper investigates these developments by selecting upcoming events as indicators for progress and concludes by noting that developed nations are increasingly under pressure to legislate protectionist measures.
