In the case of India and Pakistan's imbroglio over Kashmir, how have China’s policies toward the India-Pakistan conflict over Kashmir changed over time? According to this text’s author, Beijing has 1) increasingly opposed the internationalization of the conflict; 2) shifted from a strong pro-Pakistan stance to a more balanced one; and 3) put a premium on working with the United States to prevent war between the two South Asian states.
