This bulletin analyzes the US-India civil nuclear cooperation pact with respect to the domestic politics of India. It discusses Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's efforts to push the deal through India's parliament, despite significant resistance, and touches briefly upon the exclusive nature of the US-India civil nuclear pact. The author argues, moreover, that this undertaking illustrates the inconsistent nature of India's foreign policy.
