This analysis takes stock of the UN-brokered negotiations to reunify Cyprus. After over four decades of deliberation, the January 2017 talks in Geneva successfully produced a set of constitutional provisions that ideally will be included in a final settlement. However, despite the significant progress that’s been made, lingering disagreements over territorial adjustments and security guarantees still exist.
